I finished culinary school today. It’s not like college where I counted days and tests and seconds. I love that school. I love the profession I’m in. I’ve learned more about myself in the last ten months than in the previous 20 years of my life. It’s a weird feeling, saying good bye.

Good bye, what a poorly named ritual.

It was a very bittersweet, unsure, frightening bye.

I have an awesome job at a vegan diner.

I have an incredible girlfriend who I want to build a life with.

I am a week away from finishing culinary school.

I am thriving in a big city that used to kick my ass on the daily.

I don’t know what my next step is, but I’m totally okay with living in this moment for awhile.
